Preview channels on live tv / TV grid + quick switch to previous/next channel

Hello,

I am using Plex everyday to watch TV/movies, listen to music etc.
I really enjoy the product and afforded a lifetime plex pass.
I try to contact you here as our messages on the forum lack of answers.

Users on xbox recently lost Live TV features (usb tuner not compatible with new gen), and thus lost EPG natively available on OneGuide app.

There is some space for Plex as this is one of the solutions left.
However it lacks some basic features I was used to have:

  • being able to have a grid
    Mod-Edit: available for various clients → see below
  • to preview channels before changing them
  • channel + / channel - buttons
    Mod-Edit: duplicate → see below

Do you think it’s something Plex could work on?

It’s nice to work on new features like movies services but the catalog is so alternative that we do not really use it (I disabled it from my UI). How about focusing on some basic features to improve first?

I don’t have an Xbox to verify this – according to the related support article you should already be able to use the grid guide.

There’s an existing feature suggestion to enable channel up/down (+/-) buttons. I suggest you vote in that existing thread for that particular part of your suggestion in order to avoid distracting votes/attention – therefore removing that part in the OP above.

an update indeed brought the grid to xbox, now would love the channel+/- feature.
