Problem casting from Android App to ChromeCast with NAS QNAP Plex Server

NAS#: QNAP TS-809, QTS 4.2.6

Since a couple of days, without any change on Plex but a firmware update of my QNAP OS, I’m having a problem while casting films to my tv through Chromecast.

My NAS (QNAP TS-809, QTS 4.2.6) works perfectly. The Chromecast runs well and can cast music.
I can read my video on my computer with Plex-Web-Media from the NAS.

But :

  • when I launch my TV with Chromecast ;
  • then launch my app on Android (Samsung Galaxy S9) ;
  • choose Chromecast for casting film ;
  • find the film on the app screen ;
  • then play the film ;
  • I receive a message like “impossible to play the media” (my App is a french app, not sure about the translation).

I do not know what to do. Any clue ?

What is strange is that I have no problem using iPhone App from my wife’s phone.
Any solution ?

The best thing is that the plex guys take this error into system with Chromecast and plex, it is a problem with our servers because new plex videos work, you can try to update the server or install an earlier version on Android (before November 1) I do but I need to block every update and it is cumbersome. lucky friend and merry christmas
