hi i am trying to add my iptv to plex using xteve. i got xteve up and running but plex can not connect to the server i got the below error There was a problem adding the device: 192.168.7.65:34400
can anyone have any idea why i am getting this error
I’m having the same issue. I have xteve running and can access it at the proper url, (i.e. http://192.168.1.118:34400), but Plex won’t see the device and manually inputting it (IP:Port) gives me the same behavior as you.
Plex does see my HDHomeRun Flex 4K device though.
Where are tuner device settings stored? This is running on a Windows 10 system. Xteve is running as a container on a separate truenas setup.
Do you have PMS Authentication enabled in xTeVe under settings? If so you must supply the username and password in the tuner URL inside Plex.
eg: username:password@192.168.7.65:34400
if xteve is on the same machine as the PMS, then use 127.0.0.1:34400 as the device url.
Ihave been having this issue for months on w10 Xteve tuner not detected or appears and disappears after a few seconds or minutes. I’m stumped.
