Problem led to me uninstalling PMS and reinstalling on Synology DSM 7.01, now it won't see files at all

I had an issue where Plex admin account couldn’t access my library. Other users could, but the admin account could not. I stopped/started the service on my Synology. Same problem. I followed advice to remove some parameters in the preferences.xml file, and that didn’t work either.

Given the choice of trying to figure out how to ssh in to see what was happening or re-installing, I chose re-installation. I

I removed Plex (erase all data), then re-installed. I made sure the permissions are set to all child directories full access for internal user PMS. PMS doesn’t see the library at all now when I log in via plex tv. If I log in directly to the internal IP:32400, then I get “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” and some useless to me information.

I’ve liked Plex for a while now, but I’m getting near to trying Emby or JellyFin.

Any help would be most appreciated.

DOH! It’s loading movies now…thanks…will advise again shortly.

Chuck, thanks that fixed it. I’m about to post a new thread topic after a bit more research on the unreachable server, which led to me re-installing in the first place.
