I have an issue with South Park TV Shows.
Indeed, only nine seasons on seventeen are listed in Plex Media Server 1.2.7.2987 web interface and TV on my Synology NAS DS 214+ 6.0.2-8451 Update 4 DSM version.
I deleted all episodes then pasted them again, also tried folder season by folder season but doesn’t fix this problem.
It used to work with previous version of Plex.
The solution to fix my issue was to rename all episodes for all seasons from 9 to 17 that way : “EpisodeNumber - EpisodeName” (Example : “1 - Tweek X Craig”) instead of 1001 - Tweek x Craig.
But for all the seasons from 1 to 8 I can keep names that I used before like “101 - Tweek X Craig”.
Well I guess last version of Plex changed Something, but I am not sure.
My file structure looks like this -
TV Shows (main folder) > South Park . Season 1 > file name.
And all my file names are done in this format > e.g. 01 - Cartman Gets an ■■■■ Probe
Still i have no meta data for any of South Park.
And now that I have move some stuff around and added thing I am noticing that other shows have no meta data.
And it can’t be the file names.
For example I have some new American dad episodes. Their file names are -
american.dad.s13e01.720p.hdtv.hevc.x265.rmteam
american.dad.s13e02.720p.hdtv.hevc.x265.rmteam
american.dad.s13e03.720p.web.dl.hevc.x265.rmteam
Now as you can see, for the most part they look exactly the same, yet only the first to come under the american dad meta data and the 3rd gets nothing and is split off from the group.
Oh this problem was solved for me ages ago. And I am not sure why people keep saying that I need to change the format of how I name my shows.
I have not changed it at all from what I stipulated it was in my last post and I have all of it matched and the metadata for every episode.
A) there are messages missing from this post, so you the entire conversation is not there,
B) This was nothing more than a version bug that was fixed in the following release.
Ohhh… and this all happened almost 3 year ago bud.
