I am using jrbilodeau post on How to use zap2xml for Plex EPG & combining multiple EPG sources but I am not able to load the xmltv file that is generated. I am trying to combine my OTA channel guide with my xfinity cable lineup. When I try to load the xmltv file I get an error "unknown status". It never gets to the point where it will let me match the channels to the guide. I have tried everything and it seems that if I remove several channels from the xmltv file, it will load OK. Is there a file size limit or channel limit? Anyone else having similar issues?
Same issue, I had been using the same XMLTV file for a week with no issue. I deleted the DVR and tried to readd it when this happened. I’m adding different tuners and thought it would be quicker to just delete and start over, I was wrong. The manual zip code process wasn’t working for a day or two but now is, but can’t mix and match cable/antenna sources so I’m stuck until this resolves.
Just curious if this is tied to a specific set of channels or a specific build of plex?
If it was previously working and now isn’t, I’m just trying to figure out what changed that might be causing the issues?
In my case, I believe it is the number of channels or the size of the XMLTV file generated because of the number of channels. I don’t think it is specific to any channel or set of channels. I haven’t counted but I noticed that once I hit X number of channels it fails. If I remove one channel, then it works. If I add any channel that puts it over X number of channels, it fails again. Your instructions work if it is under X number of channels. Have you tried to load an XMLTV with guide data for a large number of channels, say 200+ ?

I’m having the same issue with my xmltv file (using epg123). PMS version 1.15.6.1079
Same issue. Any help on this? Just started happening to me, never had a problem before in general, nevermind this error.

drzoidberg33, I’m having the the same error. The EPG I’m trying to use is from https://www.iptv-epg.com. It has LCN tags enabled, and I’ve cleared with their staff to use their service with PMS as a personal user. I’m running PMS version 1.16.5.1554 beta on Windows Server. It was giving me the same error earlier too, on the Public Release Channel version. I though that maybe it would just be a bug limited to the Windows version of PMS (my PMS runs on a Windows Server 2019 machine). So, I booted my dual-boot desktop into my Linux Mint OS (64-bit) and fired up a brand new install of PMS. Same problem. Pulled the logs of both PMS instances after the error. Same errors showing in both logs. See attached for my Linux PMS logs and XMLTV EPG that is causing the errors.
