I recently encountered a problem on my Plex server regarding access to a training folder. I have created a category “Other videos” where I store all my trainings. However, my friend, who also uses the Plex server, cannot access this folder. When he tries to access it, he sees the message “Folder empty”, while I can confirm that the folder contains files.
As the server administrator, I am able to see and read the files in this folder without any problems. I checked the sharing settings for this folder, and everything seems to be properly configured to allow access to my friend. Despite this, my friend cannot see the content.
Have you ever encountered this type of problem on Plex?
Do you have any suggestions on how to solve it?

Did you define any access restrictions to Movies for your friend?
Based on either Age ratings or sharing labels?
No, there are no restrictions, there is just a label on a formation that is excluded.
There is a sharing label excluded for him otherwise no age limit or unique authorization for ratings.
In recommended he sees the trainings by videos, in the library when it is classified by video he sees them. But when it’s by file, it informs him that there is no file.
For the trainings you need to have a view by folder.
I just realized that I have exactly the same problem with music in other folder.

Are the trainings more than 2 folder levels deep and is he using an Android mobile device?
an exclusion is a restriction. if you exclude something from a user then they cannot view folders
The reason is this. Say you label some the movie Nymphomaniac with the a label “AdultOnly” to y hide it from a child’s account but they had access to rest of library. then even though they could not see the actual video they could see the title of the folder which could be some overtly sexual title like Nymphomaniac or worse… This is why folders are hidden when there are any restrictions
There can be more than two folder levels and no it doesn’t use an android phone.

I will pass it along but I cannot make promises. Can you please make a feature request here and provide a detailed reason you would like to have an option let folks view folder.
