Problem of unable to transcode and play

Can you please help me? My PLEX is acting strange. Newly downloaded videos that require GPU acceleration cannot be played, but videos that do not require GPU can be played. However, previously downloaded videos can be transcoded with hardware acceleration and played normally on PLEX. EMBY can play the videos that PLEX cannot. I’ve been using PLEX for half a year and this is the first time I’ve encountered this issue. Can you please take a look?

When you get EAE i/o errors, one of two things is the cause:

  1. More directories being monitored than the kernel default
  2. Transcoder temp on a network mount (file locking doesn’t work)

The default directory count for older linux kernels is 8192. Newer linux kernels default to 65535

Procedure here is to figure out how many directories are being monitored then, if necessary, adjust the inotify max_user_watches table size.

Thank you for your response. I understand that you mean the video addition cannot be monitored. However, the new video Plex can properly scrape and recognize the videos for storage. If hardware decoding is not required, they can be played normally. Only videos that require hardware decoding cannot be played and get stuck on the background screen. But the previously added videos that require hardware decoding do not affect their ability to be played normally. I apologize if my previous statement was unclear. Thank you for responding to me.
