Problem to retrieving metadata from tvdb

@maxflix said:
@carlosmg2 - The fix will come in 1.1.X. It’s looking like that will be the next release. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

Is this TVDB issue linked to the issue that added episodes (which won’t get any name, just Episode 5 for example) do not show up “On Deck”?
Do episodes - which are not correctly fed with Agent data - generally not show up on Deck even though they are sorted into the correct Series/season folder?

@Wiidesire
It will be linked, On Deck uses the originally available date of the show to know what to place next on On Deck, as metadata is not being pulled down from tvdb, this field remains blank so shows dont go to On Deck

I have a couple of shows affected, i have just been manually adding this date to keep On Deck working, the rest of the metadata i am doing without for now

Not if their week starts on Monday … then they have until Sunday at 23:59 … :smiley:

As a bit of a hackish workaround, you can do “Fix Incorrect Match” and explicitly select The Movie Database. That got correct titles for me, however The Movie Database is rather out of date. One show I was trying had 15 shows on the The Movie Database but thetvdb had 44.

I’m excited for Plex to fix this. The issue has caused my passport wireless pro device to lock up multiple times and like many of you the meta data doesn’t download. That in and of itself is more of an inconvenience but it’s so bad on the passport wireless pro that the entire drive freezes, becomes unresponsive, and you have no choice but to power cycle it and risk causing drive damage.

My thread on this issue can be found here: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/228772/meta-data-for-tv-shows-not-downloading-with-my-passport-wireless-pro#latest

Plex Media Server 1.1.0 is now available for Plex Pass members which fixes this issue.

thanks
it work fine with french language

I posted this already on reddit, but it seems like the cloudfare server im connecting to is the reason its not working for me.
thetvdb.plexapp.com has no covers for a single show for me. here is a tracert http://i.imgur.com/7aaPXgj.png

I’ve updated to 1.1.0 and can confirm this fixes the issue (after manually refreshing the tvshows that had missing meta info). Thanks for the fix!

A couple of people got a Plex Lifetime offer 50% off ($75) until August 21st. Unfortunately I’m not one of the lucky ones. Need to wait for the public release :frowning:

I’m understanding why new features are pushed to plexpass before public release, but bugfixes too ? really ?
