Problem when try to control Plex TV with Plex app from android device

Hi, I have problems when trying to control remotelly my Plex App on LG TV. I have this setup:

  • LG with native Plex app (webOs)
  • Android (tablet and phone) with plex app
  • A server with windows installed and plex media server

Plex works perfectly on LG natively, also works fine when I open web browser and control the streaming via web and send it to LG. If I open web browser on android and I want control the streaming on tv also works fine.

The problem is with the android app. If I try to send content to lg tv it fails. When I press the name of lg tv, try to connect and I get “I cannot connect to lg tv…”, later the name of the device disapear from the list (I need to power off tv to try the whole process again).

Somebody can help me?

I’ve had this same issue on my LG for weeks now. At first, it was intermittent, but now it never works. It happens with both the early access and standard versions of the app.

I also can connect fine between any of Firefox, Chrome, Chromecast, Android, and the TV, except Android to TV fails. What’s up? What do I even look for?
