Problem with adding content that is not detected by Plex

Greetings.

I installed Plex on a Terramaster NAS, but lately it’s been giving me problems that I can’t resolve.
By adding folders in “TV programs” with TV episodes inside, it happens that either he doesn’t see the folder at all (in the folder view he sees them but nothing inside) or he sees the folder but only one episode (not even the first one, one has the 5of6). This is for example when I also added the second season of another TV series and he sees it in its entirety. Lately by adding a missing episode in the folder of the second season mentioned above, and as a test by adding it in a folder where only one episode is seen, it happened that in the folder of the series where only one episode is seen this appears and in the second season it is now seen just one episode. Even deleting it doesn’t update anything.
I tried to update the metadata and the only result is that now I can’t see the posters of any series.
I tried reinstalling the App on the NAS, I updated Plex to the latest version and tried to reindex. I even moved the elements that are not seen to a folder of another show where they are regular, but nothing seems like ghost files. Yet they are all coded in the same way and with the same title format.
I also looked in the films folder and there are about ninety missing compared to how many are on the HD of the NAS in the films folder…
I don’t know which way to turn anymore. Any suggestions?
Frankly, I’m very close to uninstalling it and trying another similar software…

I’m not really clear where you mean you are adding this.

Make sure yoou are using proper file naming. Give is an example of how something that does not work is named if you are not sure. https://support.plex.tv/articles/categories/your-media/naming-and-organizing-tv-shows/

it sounds like possibly you have the wrong folder added to your tv library’s settings. it should be like

/TV <-------------The only folder that should be added to library settings
.../The Simpsons
....../Season 01
........./The Simpsons S01E01.mkv

The movie library should also have basically the same folder structure

Thanks for the suggestion. I changed the episode titles from
1.01 xxxxx
1.02 xxxxx
etc.
in
S01E01 xxxx
S01E02 xxxx
etc.

and now it’s fine. To show the posters again I had to create a new library that still points to those contents.

Now, however, the problem of films remains, where around ninety titles (out of a few thousand) cannot be found… I can see it from the number that Plex gives me and the files that are actually in the FILM folder on the NAS.
Why doesn’t Plex detect them? Even identifying what they are would be a huge problem…

Going to bet its naming or that they are in fact not actually movies, but TV mini series that have been turned into 1 file.

To examine the films that are not found on the plex I must necessarily compare the visible contents with the files in the folder…
Is there a way to get the printable list of contents in the movie library in Plex?

Thank you

Releases · WebTools-NG/WebTools-NG · GitHub will allow you to export what plex sees, but if your naming isnt correct, I wouldnt rely on what Plex has for matches either. I would just go back and fix all of the naming issues, and then re-create the library and plex should match stuff.
