** Bump **
I have the same problem with KEF LS50 speakers.
Since the upgrade to Cast 2.0 they donāt work with Plex.
Has anyone found a solution for this?
Sad to say but for now, I use another solution with the name that starts with āEā and finish with āyā⦠![]()
I ācastā DLNA from server to my Cambridge EVO amplifier (and not the other way arround)
This is a functionality Plex doesnāt have (yet)
Itās also a bigger win because with DLNA, I have the album cover on the screen, which was never the case with CC client.
But I miss a lot Plexamp! ![]()
Yes, I have DLNA enabled in PLEX and I can play it without problems from the speakers, but it is very uncomfortable.
I also have as an alternative a PLEXAMP a Raspberry connected to the speakers.
These are solutions, but complex, it doesnāt make sense that the Chromecast doesnāt work.
At first I thought it was a problem of updating my speakers, but I see from this thread that it is Plex that has to update its driver to the latest versions of Chomecast.
In my case, it was the same: Cambridge did update their CC client to v2 and Plex CC was not working anymore. But as a IT technician, I simply would ask:
- why is the CC client not downwards compatible?
- why my CC audio (2x in house) and my Chromecast 4K are still able to cast Plex?
At some point, it is a shared responsibility between vendor(s) (including Google) and Plex but it is very difficult to make everybody move in the same direction! ![]()
Up +1 month ![]()
Happy up-year!!! ![]()
@ChuckPa is anybody still working on this at least?
Bump, Bump
It is a shame nobody from Plex is replying on this topic since so long⦠![]()
