Problem with core component after new install

tl;dr Got “A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.” after clean install

Longer version:

  1. Had PMS on Win 10 ages ago but hadn’t used in very long time. Uninstalled and downloaded latest version and installed it
  2. Couldn’t access on http://127.0.0.1:32400 at first but got in with http://localhost:32400
  3. Old libraries were there; Plex said I needed to claim the server, but unable to do so
  4. Troubleshoot this unsuccessfully; a lot of talk of cleaning out hosts file, but mine was the default Win one
  5. Remove PMS completely following these instructions
  6. Install again and get core component error. Logs are attached here.

In case it helps others, the solution ended up being simple although I never figured out root cause. But in my case I simply ran the Repair wizard via Windows and then rebooted. PMS started up easily afterward.
