Disabling HDR tone mapping works for me. most displays nowadays are HDR, and for the old ones there are that can players can handle the tone mapping

Yes, It’s beta. It was updated only a few days ago. It’ll sit in beta because there are some additional fixes being performed. Once the new transcoder is stable, then it will be promoted to public.

You might encounter a packaging error about ocloc. You can ignore it. I’m working on changing that to be compliant with the new transcoder requirements.

VC-1 is a known problem. Engineering fixed that today. Expect an update shortly. I think that’s also part of the reason it’s falling back. In total, I saw 4 transcoder updates which are going into the next build/release to PlexPass

So I just tested with version 1.25.0.5282-2edd3c44d. VC1 works. There is something with 4K transcoding - when output is HD then transcoder falls back to software transcoding. Is this expected ?
