Problem with playback while recording on ATV 4K

Player Version#: 4.12.3

When watching a recording that is still in progress, a program will spontaneously quit and return to the Guide screen. It happens more than once for a multi-hour show and never happens on any other app on Apple TV 4K other than Plex.

When I try to return to the program, the only two options are Watch from Start or Watch Live. There is no resume option.

Any ideas what may be causing it?
