I just installed Plex on a new Shield and am having problems streaming to a chromecast. It requires a secure connection but I can only connect to my Shield if the connection is insecure. The help I read suggests the reason I can’t connect to the Shield securely will be to do with the LAN.
I tried resetting the router (a BT Homehub) back to its factory settings and found it doesn’t allow me to change the DNS.
Other possible solutions I saw are (a) to pretend the chromecast is connecting externally or (b) to install my own security settings but I don’t really understand how to do either.
Any advice please on what’s best to try next and how to go about it? Thanks, David
