When attempting to stream to a chromecast, I get an error that simply says “sorry! something went wrong”. I know that it has something to do with secure vs insecure connections. I have an android phone on the same network, and when making attempts to stream to the same chromecast using the android plex app, I got a popup asking me to authorize insecure connections - when i said ‘yes’, it streamed just fine. However in the web version, in chrome on osx, I get an error saying secure connections are required. This is confusing because android says the opposite. I’ve tried twiddling the settings regarding required/preferred/never for secure connections, and no matter what I set I can’t get the web version of plex to stream to the chromecast. I’ve gone as far as to completely delete plex entirely, reinstall from scratch, and completely rebuild my library - and that didn’t change the behavior.
