Problem with vinculation

Hi,

When I go to the site Link | Plex doesn’t appear a link in order to vinculate my account.

Someone could help me?

Thank you

With the limited info regarding client used, I would guess it’s an old Samsung with the Orca Client?

If so, look here: Plex.tv/link not generating code on samsung smart tv - #42 by plex_tyrael_metaname_de

I just have to comment unrelated to the actual problem but it is VERY rare I run into a word (vinculation) that is used correctly and I have to look it up to find the meaning. Therefore I award you the “sesquipedalian” trophy for today.

I am spanish and my english is not good… sorry

I am using my PC in order to get the key code

A link code is only for an app

What app are you using?

I want to link a samsung tv

It’s the Samsung TV that will give you the codes to enter

Please read the post I already linked towards

I was not criticizing your English usage. On the contrary I was complementing your English usage.
I had to look up “vinculation” and it is a good English word and correctly used.
I, frankly, am quite surprised that you are not a fluent English speaker. I would think that any translation programs would offer simpler words as alternatives.

BTW: Because I thought you were an English speaker I did not explain my word usage: “Sesquipedalian” means “User of big words” and it, generally is used as a complement and that was exactly how I meant it.

Hahaha. Ok I didn’t understand you. The spanish word for link is “vinculación”. Normally, the spanish words ending in “ación” the english traduction is “ation”.

Thanks for explanation

what link have I to download? There are several for windows.

Thank you!

Most likely this one:

https://github.com/kadrim/proxy4plex/releases/download/0.3.0/proxy4plex-0.3.0-0-g53b9345-windows-386.exe

Also remember to adjust your firewall, since you need to open port 3000
(For an easy test, temp. disable the firewall)

My Spanish is not very good and I learned, mostly, Mexican Spanish with a smattering of Cuban Spanish.
I am MUCH better in Japanese or even German.

I looked further, as language is always of interest to me, and I found that the Spanish word in question is “vinculación” and that is so similar to “vinculation” that the word usage becomes even more clear.
In this case the spellings and the meanings agree but, sometime the same word (Or nearly the same word) can have very different meanings like English “Poison” and French “poisson” where the first means a substance that is bad for you and the second is “Fish”.
It actually is the similarities that makes it hard for a lot of people to speak and use multiple languages and not the differences.

I think that there is a problem
proxy

Working fine, AFAICT

Now follow the instructions for your TV regarding Develop mode, and also strongly suggest followup questions to go into the thread, which post I linked towards, since that’s where the developer of the proxy hangs out

The problem is still active…

Please ask followup Q’s here:

Also…When doing so, please confirm that you enabled developer mode on your TV, and that a new version was installed

I don’t get it…
Don’t worry…

Thank you for helping.

Okay, then let’s continue here

What model of Samsung TV do you have?

Edit: maybe get it from Menu -> Support -> Contact Samsung

The model is UE40JU6060
