Problems Listing TV shows

Hello Fellow Plex Users! I need help with TV shows that AREN’T as S01E01 format. But listed as in parts, or not even as parts. Here’s my problem.

V.The.Original.Miniseries.Part1.mkv
V.The.Original.Miniseries.Part2.mkv
V.The.Original.Miniseries.Part3.mkv

I tried: V > The Original Miniseries > Parts listed above
then tried: V The Original Miniseries > Season 1 > Parts listed above

But Plex doesn’t acknowledge the folder at all even after updating library.

This other problem, Plex will acknowledge the Main folder, but not all the files and even tries to put a few in season 1, 1 in season 20 and others aren’t even listed. I have several BBC Shows. Some are BBC Nature, Some BBC Nova and others just unspecified BBC shows. I’ve tried several combinations. Even renamed the source files on a few trying to get rid of the season 20 issue (Normally happens if you list 720p on file) But didn’t fix Issue. I temporarily individually placed them as single files in a home video folder without issues (but no meta data). Anyone ran across these problems and found out a way to get these to show up correctly?

TIA!
Max

V is treated in Plex just like a regular show. The way I have it set up, and it works fine, is like this:

TV Shows <— The library points here
---------V (1984) <— This folder holds the season folders
------------------Season 01 <— This folder holds all the episodes for season 01
-------------------------V - s00e01 - The Original Mini-Series (1).mkv
-------------------------V - s00e02 - The Original Mini-Series (2).mkv
-------------------------And so on for the rest of season 01 using the format sXXeYY

The s00 shows could, and probably should, be in a “Specials” folder but I did not bother for this one and it does work.

Thanks guys, this helped a lot and worked great, but then I added a second V (1984) The Final battle the same way, It combined into the V(1983) folder joining files with S00E1 & 2, but 3 was listed correctly. Did they remove the split apart option? It’s not showing up. Well you guys did send me on the right path. the “00” info helps a lot. I’ll play with it some more and try to get it working. Thanks again!
