Problems only with the stream of all stations from one provider - DVB-S via SAT>IP

Channel number/Name: all german RTL-GROUP stations (RTL, SUPERRTL, NITRO, VOX etc)

Hi everybody.
I’m really new in PLEX Live TV as my user experience for eyeTV on MAC turned into really bad with the V4. So I came to PLEX and my setup is working well - except the streaming of German RTL Group stations. It doesn’t matter which carrier I use (some stations are available on different carriers e.g. for an Austrian version)…
…I also get stations on the same carriers (e.g. “TOGGO plus” on 12188) without any problems…
…but all RTL group stations on the same carrier (NITRO, NTV, RTL Television, RTLup, TRLZWEI, SUPER RTL, VOX) are not working.

Pls check the attached “Plex Tuner Service.log” for one try of a stream. I only see two errors - but I don’t know if these are relevant?

I don’t know what it is about this specific “live tv” support forum but there are posts that have been waiting months without a reply from a moderator, let alone an actual staff member.

If this is for satellite they’ve responded in another post that they do not support it and have no plans to, anything you manage to get working (whether partially or not) is basically due to coincidence and you’re on your own.

http read/write errors lead me to believe Plex can’t access the file the way it wants to or doesn’t know how, unless there’s an underlying permissions issue (which seems unlikely). This tuner isn’t supported as far as I can tell, so it’s probably just… not supported.

I don’t really understand the post, but if you have some things working and not others you might be stuck with just that. Your best bet is to do some searching and find others that have tweaked setups like this to work with Plex, because I don’t think you’re going to get any official support (unless I’ve completely misunderstood and this isn’t regarding satellite and/or you ARE running a supported tuner)

It’s crazy that SAT>IP works - so they spend def. some energy in it…
…but they don’t want to spend energy in support - bad situation :frowning:

The problem in my case is, that all stations are working EXCEPT the stations from the RTL GROUP. And that’s weird :woozy_face:
I will try to compare the log from a working station with a RTL GROUP station and hope that I can find some more information. I already found a thread here, where some user adjusted XML file inside of the database - I will try to check that XML files as well.

…it works, and that was done in the past…
…but they stopped the development or the service or whatever :flushed:
