I have a LG CX OLED and Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 and when playing DV HDR videos taken from my iPhone13 PRO, it doesn’t play correctly. If I keep trying to play the same video file over and over again it will either:
- Loop forever and never load. The dashboard doesn’t even show it playing when it’s doing this as if the file just can’t load.
- Loop then give an “unable to play media” error
- Play the file in SDR where the file is all washed out and gray
- Play the file properly in DV
I can get all of these to happen if I just play the file over and over again. It’ll randomly do one of the above.
The dashboard says that it’s direct playing both the video and audio.
I tried removing the audio from the file just to see what would happen and the file plays fine when it does that. Not sure why this makes it better.
Any ideas?
