Hello,
the video of direct play of h265 videos is lagging since Firefox 147.0.0 in plex. The lagging presents itself, by only showing one frame of video every four seconds, the audio works great all the time.
It also seems to affect videos I transcoded myself with ffmpeg, I have a Movie in 1080p transcode by myself and a version in 2160p. The first one is lagging, the second one is working flawlessly. Also everything worked before Firefox 147 and it also works with other browsers.
I generated debug logs, with both versions playing:
plex_debug_good.log (26.0 KB)
plex_debug_bad.log (19.7 KB)
Good is the original version playing and bad is the self transcoded version.
What works?
- Plex Android Player
- Plex Web Chromium
- Lower Quality and transcode the video
- Disable Direct Play
