I finally got the live TV working on my Shield (thanks to those who helped me), but now I’m having issues with the DVR function. I hope someone can guide me or refer me to some helpful YouTube videos:
When I try to record a program, I get a popup message that says, “Shows library required. This recording cannot be scheduled because you don’t have a library for shows…”
That makes sense. But when I go to the Plex app on my computer and click on add library and select TV Shows from the type selections, I get a dialogue box prompting me to “Browse for Media Folder”. When I click on that, I’m presented with a list of all the folders on my PC.
The problem here, is that I DON"T WANT to use my PC to store the recordings of the shows. I have a 256G thumb drive attached to the Shield, which I got for this very purpose. Isn’t there some way to designate that thumb drive to store the DVR recordings instead of on my PC? Isn’t that one of the main purposes of having those USB ports on the Shield in the first place?
I certainly hope I’ve made my issue clear and understandable, and that someone is able to give me some guidance.
