Problems with "Plex Series Scanner","Personal media shows"

Hi there,



I really love Plex but I am having a few issues with the “Plex Series Scanner” in combination with the “Personal Media Shows” metadata agent. Apparently it will only include files which have a number or date in their name.



For example I have a lot of recorded childrens TV shows in the iTunes/TV Shows folder



The structure of the files is:

iTunes/TV Shows/Show name/Episode_description.m4v

iTunes/TV Shows/Show name/Episode_description.m4v

…



I have added the iTunes/TV Shows folder as a section in plex and selected “Plex Series Scanner” and “Personal Media Shows” as well as language none (see attached screen shot).





Only files which include a number or date is added to the section. Even if I rename the files to 01EPisode_description.m4v, 02Episode_description.m4v (which is not very practical) and son on, the files are added without title.



E.g. iTunes/TV Shows/Show name/Barbapapa/01Barbapapa - Barbababyer.m4v becomes Episode 1 in Season 1 with the name “Episode 1:”. The title Barbababyer is not included in the Episode name, even though it is both in the filename and in the metadata of the file.



So basically. Does a scanner exist which either

1. Uses the itunes metadata from the m4v file OR
   
2. Simply uses foldernames as series names and filenames as episode names
