I’ve just added Prime PLUS 1 to the guide (channel 512 - using SKY numbering). I’ve checked the raw XML and everything looks fine, but as I’m on DVB-T I can’t test it. Let me know if there are any issues.
Thanks @shea9872 - it works perfectly.
OK, I have another request :-).
So some of the channels prefix the name of the movie with the text "Movie: "
E.g.
Movie: Hotel Transylvania 2
Movie: Inferno
Movie: The Evil Dead
When this comes in to Plex, it doesn’t match too well - see image:
If you were to trim off the “Movie:” part from the beginning of the name I think the matching would work better.
Also, while you are at it, Prime has a tendency to prefix the name of the movie with "Prime Flicks: "
If you want more info, please let me know :-).
S
I’ll trim the name off at some point, since it doesn’t really have any purpose anyway.
Regarding the incorrect posters, that is an issue with my XMLTV, I will be looking into that and get a fix ASAP. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll also look at getting metadata from SKY Go - which should help a lot of Prime shows have posters.
Awesome - I’m a software developer based in Wanaka - if you want to get in touch in case I can help with any of the changes, you can email me directly on: stuart at stuartbale dot com
Thanks for the offer, its a relatively simple script, so I should be fine though! Nice to see a fellow South Islander on here.
I’ve sorted out the issue with the posters and the Movie: and Prime Flicks: prefixes will be removed beginning next week (So that any recordings are not broken before then).
Wow - you totally rock dude. Awesome. Looking forward to seeing the change over the next few days
thanks for all your work on this
its way better than your generic epgcollector xml
maybe you could share it on geekzone if not already so other NZ’s are aware-
Will do, wasn’t sure about Geekzone’s rules about posting EPG’s, so I was hesitant to post there intially.
FYI - the change to remove 'Movie: ’ is working great. Good matches now and the recordings work perfectly. Thanks again for all your hard work @shea9872
.
Hey @shea9872 so for some reason TVNZ has for some movies decided to not include the blank space between “Movie:” and the movie name, and I am guessing your script looks for "Movie: " with a trailing blank space. If it isn’t too much trouble, I wonder if you could please change this at your convenience?
Here are some recent examples:
Movie:The Shawshank Redemption
(Thursday at 8:30pm on 2 TVNZ 2)
Movie:The Chronicles of Narnia
(Friday at 7:00pm on 2 TVNZ 2)
Movie:The Bridges Of Madison…
(Tue, Dec 25 at 10:45pm on 1 TVNZ 1)
Thanks, titles with ‘Movie:’ will have it removed starting in tomorrow (will take a week for all titles to be changed)
@shea9872 You sir are a gentleman and a scholar, thank you for making the Live TV function actually useable in NZ
Hi @shea9872 - I am sorry to be a pest, but I am not sure if the fix for the “Movie:” text is working correctly. Here are some recent examples:
Movie:The Replacement Killers
(Tue, Jan 15 at 8:30pm on Duke)
Movie:Adventures In Babysitting
(Sun, Jan 20 at 8:15am on TV2)
Perhaps there is some other character they are using in the text?
Could be something to do with the new year, I’ll check and fix the code in a few days (I’m away at the moment). Thanks for letting me know.
@stuartbale found the issue. Titles will begin reverting back for the next week (again, so recordings don’t break)
@shea9872 Was wondering, if I’m doing something wrong? At the moment, there only seems to be data up until Sunday (27/01/19). Colleague who’s also using your xml seems to have the same issue.
Thanks in advance for your help!
By the way, your work is super appreciated!!! Bet, if you’d set up a Patreon (or similar), some people would be willing to support your efforts.
@NUkiwi Thanks for letting me know! I’ve fixed the issue, so the guide will be updating again.
I’m not too worried about making money off this - it’s something I personally use everyday and I’m happy to be helping out where I can!
Just did the refresh. That worked.
Legend mate! Thank you very much!
This is freaking awesome, thanks so much.
