Program Guide for a particular show is indexing to the wrong (overlapping) seasons

I’m recording Whose Line Is It Anyway from the UP and CW networks. The newer episodes with Aisha Tyler are colliding with the older Drew Carey episodes. Example: Trakt.tv and TVGuide calls the current season #14 while Comcast and the Plex guide source are calling it season #6.

First, am I doing something wrong? Can I change the guide source?

If not, is there anyway to workaround this behavior?

I don’t see how I can set up two recording groups of the same show and split them by options (e.g. HD vs SD, UP vs CW).

The only way I can think of doing it is manually adding a recording of each episode and allocating each to a different library, i.e. one for Aisha episodes and one for Drew episodes (or however it is actually overlapping)…

Anyone have any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there’s not a lot that can be done when the guide data and online sources don’t match up. You can have a look at what the TVDB or TMDB do for these episodes, and see how they line up with what the networks are doing, and if you can reconcile them there.
