Howdy - I’m trying to use the new beta, but the programming guide isn’t updating. I select my tuner, and that works fine. I pick my channels, and thats OK as well. I can record shows and watch them, and thats fine. However, when I go to the guide, it says that its either empty, or its not complete.
Is there a way to view my guide download status or error logs?
So, put the DVR on another machine and I’m having the same problem. The EPG is not downloading fully. It gets part of the way there, and dies. I have the most recent version of Plex, and I tried on Win7 and 10.

What country and region are you in. Might be useful to find someone else in the same region to see if Gracenote is having issues. As for logs I am not sure which one to check or what to search for. If you go to server settings and Help in your browser you can download all the log files as a ZIP and look through them. Let us know what you find. Some logs only keep last 24 hours so you need to do the refresh then download the logs or manually get them from the server support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files

So, I did a bunch of work on this and I determined that the problem was network latency. I had some issues with my internal network - it worked but I was dropping pings. Apparently the guide download is very sensitive to dropped packets. Food for thought.
Now that I have the guide downloaded it is way off. My test show is always ‘Forged in FIre’ and its not in the programming guide at all, and as the DVR doesn’t have a conventional guide, I can’t lookup whats on at what time.
Any thoughts on where to go from here? I’m not sure why its not getting all the programs…
hey all, I’m going to bump this again. I’ve setup plex DVR now on 3 different machines, I’ve tried to download the EPG via 4G and my home router. It just keeps stopping. It gets to like 4%-8% and then stops updating.
I downloaded my logs, but its needle in a haystack. The only errors I see are:
Network Service: Error in browser handle read: 995 (The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit of an application request) socket = 1
and
Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 6
Any help or direction would be apprecaited. I’m not sure how to fix this…
A little more detail. I see errors with EPG in the tag:
Debug - completed 8% - refreshing EPG
Error - EPG: JSON parse error.
Warn - EPG(onconnect): failed to load epg
EPG(onconnect): total time to load EPG was 388.7 (http details cached 98.4%, cloudflard grid cached: 100.0%, 1 http errors)
