I was watching a movie last night when I guess I had some network issues and my movie just stopped playing. I had to exit the video and go back to the Xbar or whatever Sony calls it and select the movie again, only the PS3 does not let you pick up where you left off, you have to start over. Starting over, I tried to fast forward but it would only let me fast forward 1.5x (not acceptible). To finish the movie I had to go back to my bedroom to watch it on my Roku box where I could fast forward.
Is this a known issue? I didnt see anything on these forums yet.

Same here. 1.5x FF works ok on PS3 but no faster FF speeds do - which is not much use.
Don’t want to be too negative as otherwise it’s the best server I have tried to date (including demo versions of paid apps) and I have tried a lot! Serviio is perhaps the next best but the artwork and layout and metadata usage on Plex beats this hands down. Hope they can sort this issue out.
I think it would work if there is a way to set the PS3 to direct play w/ fallback. I think direct play is the only way you can get ff to work with the PS3.
after playing with the PS3 without Plex more - it seems its a problem with the PS3 and not plex. I found that I could play my wtv files without plex just fine on the PS3 but I cant fast forward more than 1.5x - which means unless Plex can get Sony to allow them to create an app like Netflix and Hulu have, its just not going to work on the PS3.
