I have decided recently that I’d like to convert all my video files to MP4 so they can be played via the PlayStation Plex apps directly through my new Seagate Personal Cloud.
I’m using the fantastic Handbrake encoder. Apart from tremendous recoding times, it’s been working well. Video plays better and faster now via PC, iPhone 6 and PS4. I have 2 PS3s that are used purely to run Plex.
And the PS3s are where my perfect home system is falling down. Video and audio are playing perfect on PS4, iPhone and PC, but only audio plays on both PS3s, with black screens where video should be.
I’m using standard “Normal” encoding settings on Handbrake, h.246 4.0 with framerate kept same as original file, AAC audio.
Video files work brilliant on PS4, why is the PS3 not playing video with the audio?
