Can the PS4 play AAC 7.1 directly or is this yet again another Sony limitation? To me it seems rather weird that they would support AAC 5.1 and not 7.1.
My 7.1 audio is being transcoded and it sounds like crap… tinny.
So apparently PS4 only supports 5.1.
I asked on twitter if this was them or playstation restriction… silence.
So if you have 7.1 systems and encoded media you are stuck with crap audio I guess
