App update 15/11/19 issue

Since app updated today, can no longer play movie on my tv via the chromecast. Plex still available, but when I press play…I get a “unable to play media” error.

Prior to today’s app update, plex was working fine

2 x Sony Bravia working 15th November, both give “unable to play” errors 16th November.

Server is connected, music plays from server. Database contains correct files and artwork.

Plex plays correctly on PC, Apple TV, and Android phone app.

Sony Plex App Ver 7.24.3.13840
Server Version 1.9.4.4325

Plex on Sony Bravia working 11/17, stopped working 11/18.

Power cycled, reset Plex app, re-installed app. No change.
Audio/music plays ok, any video or photo does not.
Have not done a factory reset of the TV yet.

Android Plex on smartphone works, casting to the TV does not.

This is interesting to me.

I have 3 tv series which won’t play on my Bravia Android tv. They play on the ps4, iPhone, iPad, laptop, web browser, everything else… just not on the android tv app.

Coincidentally I just moved my Plex server from a Linux server to an iMac, and thought this was the problem, but I’m wondering if an update caused the problem.

As far as I can tell, there’s a lot of people with this problem. How do you get help from this company??? Frustrating.
