So up until about a week ago, my PLEX app on my PS4 worked fine, there were never any issues regarding connectivity at all.
However, I recently installed the latest server version and now my PS4 can’t seem to locate the server on my computer, and the PS4 doesn’t show up in my list of available players.
Both accounts are signed in and on the same network. Any help?

Getting pretty annoyed at seeing the media server not being available text despite having the server open on my computer’s browser.
I’m having a simi!ar problem. Installed Plex to enable media server from pc and to cast media to the PS4.
Got the PS4 working but it does not show up when trying to cast media e.g from tablet.

I have the same issue. Installed the latest plex media server for ubuntu and the corresponding plex app on the ps4. Linking works, the name of the media server is listed in the ps4 app. The issue is, that the ps4 does not connect to the server: “offline or not available”. Already tried all the obvious hints from the plex help pages.
Anyone else with this issue or an idea on how to solve that?

I think I’m encountering the same issue?
I have two PS4 Pros in the house, both of which can see the server, but can’t see any libraries. All I get is the default Plex-provided web content (News, Podcasts etc). If I view the account settings via the PS4 app and check server status, it shows the name of the server, marked as unavailable. It retries, and keeps coming back with “The server is offline or unavailable”.
What points the finger at the PS4 app is that I can access my content fine via:
Android app
Windows app
Web app
Working this through, I have:
Manually reinstalled the latest Plex release for my device
Recreated the libraries
Moved some files to a different location, creating a new library (which other apps as above can now see)
Reinstalled the Plex apps on both PS4s
Completely initialised one of the PS4s
Renamed the NAS - the PS4 apps recognise the new name of the server and display it even as they call it unavailable
I have a PIN set on my primary Plex user, and on both consoles, the login prompt is displayed before Plex itself launches into its empty experience.
I can still play media, just about, by using the PS4 web browser to navigate to the web player. Everything works - except visibility of libraries to the PS4 app.
I guess I’d like to know at this point if there is anyone out there for whom Plex is working fine on PS4?
I was running fine until the update released within the last day or so. Now, the Plex app on my PS4 just displays the logo on the screen. It sounds a lot like what everyone else is experiencing.
