PS4 Plex Client HDMI Control -- Going back to XMB from Plex

Hi,

Asking this question in its own thread, as it seems lost in the big one where I initially posted it.

I recently installed the PS4 client, and the CEC (HDMI Control / the ability to control Plex via Samsung’s remote) is functioning just as expected against my Samsung J6300 TV, with one exception:

  • If I want to drop back from Plex to XMB/Main PS4 Menu, I need to grab a PS4 joystick.

I tried all the keys (eg “back”, “exit”, etc), but no go… is this an issue with Samsung or is that currently not possible? Ideally a key would exist/be mapped so that it would behave similarly to pressing the PS button (i.e. drop back to XMB).

Can this be added to the Client code?

Press “Tools” on samsung remote and select ps4 menu.

That definitly works, thank you!
Still something to consider however to add support to drop to the XMB via a button…
