Same here, works if you delete/re-install and/or re-configure, but open it a second time and the menu’s don’t load (blue screen with spinning circle).
Have on occasions got it to load by ‘mashing’ buttons as it opens the app.
Hello, greetings from Germany. I use the Plex app on my Playstation 4. Since the update came out, it does not work anymore. I start the app / enter my user pin and then he loads … and loads … and loads … nothing happens. When I disconnect my Playstation from the account and re-left it works the first time! What can it be? Can I downgrade ANYWHERE? Thank you!! PS: Sorry translation is made with Google
Hi
Same problem as thomy22
Works only the first time, then stuck on loading screen (PS4 PRO)
Need to uninstall ./ reinstall the app each time to have it work.
@Moussa I can’t believe that we are so many users that we complain and nobody answers to us. I’m without word
Could not agree with you any more…
Can you not just rollback the Application on the Playstation Store, Send out a email telling people sorry for the MAJOR F**K up
But if you delete the app, you can re download the version before
Hello from US here. Plex is more glitchy, harder control, and messed up that ever before. Sometimes it straight up doesn’t work. I have a PS4 pro and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it. It has made no difference.
seems plex admins arent interested no attempt to fix or help, my opinion ive bought a defective product so should get refund on plex pass and all previous months ive paid for it
Sorry I did not see this forum topic about it. We are tryin to get a release out soon with a fix. I don’t have an exact date but we are hoping for this week.
amazing mention money and something happens
no, i just happened to see this one pop up with a recent reply as I was replying to the other forum topics about this I was already involved in previously
I’m having the same problem on the PS4 - Booting up Plex makes it freeze on the spinning circle and goes no further. I can uninstall and reinstall the app, which makes it work once, but after that I’m back to square one.
Can you resolve this please? I hate having to delete and reinstall the app every time I want to watch something.
I am hoping Kodi gets ported to PS4 at this rate, I am so dissapointed waiting weeks without a reply and months for a fix.
@BigWheel will the fix include undoing the regression in support for interlaced videos as per my posts above? Short version: previous Plex versions worked fine with interlaced DVR videos (just about every channel in Australia), the current one apparently deliberately doesn’t support them at all. Result is DVR playback in Australia is completely broken.
I was not aware of that issue but I asked our PS4 team and they said it does not have any change for that, I was told they will comment on your other forum topic you already had on that issue.
The PS4 plex app is basically unusable right now.
Can confirm.
Resisted the update but now it’s like everyone describes:
Plex Screen of Death on PS4.
Just moved my Plex Server in the same network again. Still nothing.
That… my friends is a mess.
I’m a Software Engineer myself, after the first thread I would have gone in full panic mode.
Same here… After recent update i have plex app i cannot use…
Looks fancy but is totally useless…
The ps4 app has been working with no issues for me. However, I found a bit of a weird issue today. One particular movie plays the audio, but no video shows up, just a black screen. This same file works fine on all my other plex apps. It just doesn’t play correctly on the ps4 app. It’s an mp4 with h. 264 video and ac3 audio.
Any idea what is causing this? If I can provide any additional info to help diagnose the issue please let me know.
Thank you.
