I have a rather good PC (i5 4690k, 8 gb ram, win 10). When I launch the 1080p movie Taken.mkv which has DTS 755 Kbps audio, Plex trancodes the audio, but to AAC.
Why doesn˙t it transcode to AC3 sound, I have enabled “Dolby Digital (AC3)” in the PS4 Plex app settings.
These are my transcode settings :
-Transcoder quality : “Make my CPU hurt”
Same thing with other DTS movies (28 days later, Predator, Sinister). Has it something to with my Bandwith or PS4 ?
Is transcoding broken in the latest PS4 app? I can’t get ANYTHING to play and it works on all my other devices (iPhone, iPad, OSX, Android) with direct play and direct stream both off.

Ok. After 4 days of frustration… I think I finally fixed my PS4… almost nothing plays issue. Just in case anyone else stumbles upon the same problem.
Turn on DOWNMIX DTS. Under the Transcoding section of the Server web-manager

Anyway, can I get some official explanation from a developer, why can`t I get Plex to transcode my DTS audio to AC3 (on PS4) ?
