Ps5 says my personal server is currently unavailable

Tried everything

No matter what I do I cannot have the plex app on my ps5 show my server with my media on it

My phone, web, and other smart TV all is working

Anyone know how I can fix this

If the PS5 is connected via wifi have you tried wired? Can you ping the PS5 local IP from the command line on your computer you run the server on?

Yes it is hard wired in

Could you please explain how I can ping it from my computer

There is info here How to Ping a Network Device in Windows | StarTech.com

Also could we see your server logs.

It may be a DNS rebinding issue. Some routers have a specific setting for this or you can change the dns to Cloudflare Public DNS or Google DNS

So I pinged it and it was found immediately no losses

I have at&t uverse the device list shows it detected

How specifically could I get to the next step because obviously it’s an issue with the plex ps5 app specifically not connecting to my network computer

Every other TV app or device connects to plex

Can we see your server logs to see if the server can see it when it does network checks.

sure

Also obviously I don’t know if the logs show it but the app connected to the network until maybe 3 months ago….. I have changed nothing in the setup just whatever updates happen naturally.

Looks like you were playing something on your Roku when you got logs. before that looks like it was filling logs with credit detection stuff. Can you restart the server when it isn’t doing anything wait like 5 minutes, open the PS5 app then grab the server logs again.

i can get the logs through my computer through my web app but how would you download a ps5 zip?

sorry i just mean the server logs. I really just want everything to be restarted before you do.

the PS5 writes it’s logs to the server logs which you can specify in it’s settings, but since it can’t connect, it probably won’t show your server as option to write to.

OK here’s the new one

Have you tried changing the dns servers on the ps5 to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 or 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1? The att won’t let you change dns servers and if their servers are causing rebind, the ps5 may not connect.

Also, what do you have set for secure connections in the plex network settings? If it’s required, change it to preferred.

The att router can cause issues, and since it locks down some functionality, it’s tough to deal with. Putting another router behind it and placing the att into pass-through is another potential fix.

I have ATT myself and do use a different router as it just makes life so much simpler but it should still work.

I don’t see rebinding issues in logs but i may be missing something. Gonna have to ask some others to take a look.

Also it does not look like you restarted the server before getting logs the second time. I don’t see it’s normal start up things happening.

Thank you changing it to the first set of numbers fixed the problem thank you for taking the time.

Thank you for taking your time in helping

The other guys solution for changing the first set of numbers did the trick
