When playing MKV files with PSG subtitles in the container, they do not display correctly on all players. They work on iOS (iPhone) and in a browser when played directly form the server (Synology) but on the Windows Player, Windows HTPC, and tvOS (appleTV) they flash for a millisecond at the beginning of a dialog transition and then disappear. it is visible for long enough to know that text is there and that is it.
External SRT are fine, but as I work to back-up my Blu-ray collection, I don’t want to have to search for/download external flies nor have to extract them as separate files while converting.
I have read several forum articles but nothing seems to address this directly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
