Plex is amazing!
Plex is huge!
Part of why Plex is amazing is because it’s so huge. Basically every device supports it.
Maintaining a project that big must be a ton of work, and of course bugs slip through.
For users, the route to take is to post here, and ideally a dev responds and it gets fixed.
My experience, and I think this is shared by a few people is: search for the issue, find half a dozen posts people have made with the exact same issue, all closed due to inactivity. Disheartening, but you go ahead and make your own topic, and hope they see it. You don’t want to be impatient, devs have a lot of important things to do, but you want to know it was at least seen. That it isn’t a problem unique to you.
That you won’t become any of the other people who’s threads have been closed, unnoticed.
Never fear, there’s a simple answer!
A bug tracker would allow users to submit bugs, which then could be marked with a priority level etc etc, you all know how bug trackers work.
This does require a bit of setup, and it requires some dev to occasionally go through and mark bugs with their status, but it would help users feel like they have been heard.
That their issues won’t disappear into the closed section of a forum.
Thank you again devs!
