You have a QTS security problem. – likely Malware
Follow QNAP’s instructions and contact QNAP if you need further assistance.
QNAP Malware Remover (v4.6.1.1) runs 2x daily. Clean bill of health.
I will wait until the next build and see what happens.
It won’t change.
This is not something you blame on Plex.
I’m sorry for being stern but QTS itself showing those notification warnings are NOT Plex’s creation or responsibility.
1, Download the package in another browser –
2. Reboot the QNAP
3. install again
Your QTS is giving you a VERY bad warning.
Go look at App Center. Do what QNAP instructed.
Well I updated version 1.23.0 with no issue. I’m not blaming Plex, just highlighting the error.
I don’t use any browser other than Safari. There is no reason malware would be on this box, it’s isolated behind a subnet and behind a VPN. Nothing is downloaded by it, just uploaded to it through one of several Mac’s. It’s a file repository, my main server is a Dell Powerserve running UnRaid, it’s connected to the outside world, the QNAP is not. Mainly due to trust. I plan to retire the QNAP soon anyway, the OS is getting over clunky, even their newer hardware is not keeping up with current tech.
This QNAP TS-853A when bought was “state of the art”, it’s now an over heated underperforming paperweight compared the the Dell, which was actually cheaper to purchase. 2nd hand Enterprise tech is a great bargain!!
I would say it’s a checksum error, the download page (plex.tv) does not display the checksum properly when clicked. As I said, this was just a heads up, I will wait for the next update and try again.
Adding to @ChuckPa here…
QTS use qpkg to install apps, and that again verifies that the qpkg file is valid, and otherwise will abort
As such, I simply suspect a bad download, so maybe try downloading again?
