After updating QNAP Plex Server to 1.16.5.1488, the TV client buffers every 10-15 seconds, but also skips like 30s with each buffer. Meaning that, after buffering, the movie doesn’t continue from where it was left off, but it skips like 30 seconds and starts from that point on…

Any ideas or hints on fixing it?

To verify it is this version of PMS which is causing you a problem:

  1. reinstall the previous version you downloaded on top of the current
  2. play the same file again.

There is a known issue with DirectPlay skipping.

Hello!

I thought of reinstalling an older version too, but Plex doesn’t keep a history of the previous versions available and I don’t know the correct URL to “hack” it. :frowning:

I guess you need to locate the qpkg repository for Plex servers. Maybe it’s been listed here on the forums?
