@ChuckPa
In Nov '20 @ciltocruz posted about excessive memory usage and Plex crashing on QNAP NAS.
I have just had the same issue and backtracked to find that initially changing ‘Generate chapter thumbnails’ to ‘never’ cured the issue and then proceeded to identify the file causing the issue. You asked for a file at the time to assist in identifying if PMS could be altered to be more tolerant. The file had been deleted at the time but I have kept a copy of mine and wondered if you would like a link to download it which I’m happy to DM or email to you if its of interest.
Server Version#: 1.24.3.5033
Yes please. Anything which can be used to confirm the issue still exists or has been resolved is always good to have.
I’d be more than happy to download from a link so the file can be as large as is needed
Hi, tried to send you the link via a message as don’t want to post here but says you are not accepting. Do you have a method I can get the link to you securely? Cheers David
PM sent.
I found out why it’s using a lot of CPU - Deinterlacing.
If that’s why it’s leaking memory, we can track that too.
Thanks for the sample.
I’m finding other things. I’m conducting a deeper inspection & will report back
I will be on the lookout for this topic.
