Currently have Plex server installed on a virtualized windows server 2019 image. I am migrating Plex to a Qnap TVS-871 and want to use the Plex app installed via Qnap. Plex has never been installed on the 871 before. No errors on install. Started Plex server and clicked Open once started. Almost immediately I get Not Authorized.
After reading several articles, it is unclear what or why the error should come up. Yes, both server instances will be on the same network subnet. For a while, I want to be able to select which server to use. I also will migrate the media piecemeal. I organized my video library into multiple subdirectories which I then share separately. This allows me to move the storage location as needed from drive to drive (mostly size). Because of issues with Plex file recognition, I want to move each media category individually.
