QNAP Plex 1.22.1.4228 Broken

I was having issues with the 1.22.0 version not allowing music files to be scanned and then the update came out but the latest version I am not even allowed to connect or access my plex server. Any one else having these issues.

Please note that due to some particularly large database migrations, your first time starting up the server with this release may take an unusually long time, depending on library size, disk speed, and CPU performance. This is normal.

Thank you for your response. I just re-installed the newest version 1.22.1.4228 again and I waited for over an hour and I still can’t get to my plex server. When I click on open from my qnap applications the new window pops up and says “404 not found” now.

Please do the following:

  1. Stop Plex in App Center

  2. Create a Shared Folder named “PlexData” anywhere you want (not important)

  3. Start Plex

  4. Wait 30 seconds

  5. Stop Plex

  6. Open File Station → PlexData

  7. Click “Plex Media Server”

  8. Right-click “Logs” and compress that to a ZIP file

  9. Download and attach that ZIP file here for me please.

Thank you for those logs.
They have what’s wrong.

Your PMS installation failed to complete.
As the direct result, it is missing files required to run .

That’s why you got “404”.

Now it all makes sense.

  • stop plex.
  • Download a fresh copy of the package using a different browser
  • Manual Install again – On top of the existing.
  • Start Plex

So No Luck, I just downlooaded a fresh copy using a completely different browser. I had downloaded 3 different copies before using the plex app and the website.

I have already installed the 1.22.0.4163 I try to keep the last working version close by. It was the only one that was working but in that release I can’t scan any of my music anymore. .I can add movies and stuff just not music.
And I am using the qnap QTS 4.5. Thank you

PM? I’m not sure what you mean. When I try to scan my music is says " internet connection is required" but it scans every thing else.

I have the same problem. I get the error “404 Not Found” when I want to access plex via webpage. When I access via plex.tv and “Launch” button I can see my server.

PlexMediaServer-1.22.2.4282-a97b03fad-x86_64 is my current version.

So here is what I had to do.

  1. I updated all the Qnap Apps ( Not sure if that helped)
  2. The rebooted the Qnap completely
  3. The when everything was back up and running I stopped Plex
  4. Did a manual install of the new package and Happy times for all. I hope this helps.

Note : For some reason every month or 45 days Qnap needs to be rebooted in my opinion

What QNAP and FW do you run? I run mine much longer, continuously with no issues. TS-453Be current FW 4.5.2.1594

I run the TS-451+ with fw 4.5.2.1594 which is current. It just seems to happen on my plex and I will notice when I am trying to scan new files and stuff. Then I realize its time to reboot. My friend has to do the same thing on his. But i okay not that much of a bother
