For a few months now, I’ve been experiencing crashes when attempting to optimize the database. Access to it will disappear in the web interface upon initiation, but it still shows as running in the QNAP GUI. I have to manually stop and restart it to return responsiveness.

Loading of TV Show items in most all of the apps is sluggish and sometimes completely non-responsive which was likely the prompt for me attempting to optimize (can’t remember).

A few weeks back I used the PlexDBRepair Tool in auto mode which did all of its things without kicking back errors or stops. I have also attempted to dig into the logs myself, but I get lost. Would appreciate insight.

I ran the PlexDBRepair Tool again today using the Automatic setting, and then for good measure I ran the Repair option. After, I refreshed all of the metadata for each of the libraries.

This appears to have solved my problem as I just successfully manually optimized the database.
