Server Version#: 1.41.1.9057
Player Version#: 4.138.0
I’m running the above on an old QNAP 1282-T. With last major update, my server was working perfectly fine (I ended up rebuilding my entire server for that one for more reasons than I can count). A few updates ago however the TV recommendations and Home tab functionality became super buggy. When the TV library appears at all on the Home tab, it can often take 5-10 minutes to do so on the web player. I’ve actually disabled the “recently added” and “recently released” categories on the Recommended page for the TV library as it seems to lock up the server at times. The Android-based client is better (especially on actual TVs) and so is iOS, but it’s still incredibly laggy and unstable at times (like the web client, sometimes Plex doesn’t show the TV library “recently added” and “recently released” carousels at all and often just displays the next library on the home tab after a few minutes). I thought the issue might have been my server build, but I have a user who has a friend with a separate plex server and they are reporting the same issue with TV Recommendations and Home Tab with the TV library “Recently Added” and “Recently Released” carousels not appearing. Like I said, this is a fairly new build. Not sure what’s going on here. Anyone else have these issues? I’ve rebuilt my database and optimized that library btw with the same issues happening. The rest of my libraries function normally. I can also navigate the TV Library itself normally and playback is fine. Should I remove the TV library and add it back? I hate killing things on the server as you end up losing metadata, but happy to do it to fix this issue. My user views for Tv Shows have been basically non-existant since this issue started.
