I get an error when trying to download the new server version from the QNAP section on the server download page. Is the site down or link broken or is it something on my end?
Appears to be something on your end. Browser being wonky?
Tried different browsers, all fail to open downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/1.11.3.4803-c40bba82e/PlexMediaServer_1.11.3.4803-c40bba82e_x86_64.qpkg.

You don’t “Open” the file and execute it
You install it via App Center - Install Manually
- Download
- Open Manual Install
- Browse to file
- “Open” (to select it in that browse window.. yes it’s poorly named .. should be “Select”)
- Let it upload
- Install
Sorry, probably my English. But I’m unable to do step 1. The download fails in all browsers I try. The output in the sceenshot is what I get when I try to download the qpkg file from the plex website.
Is your default action to Open & Run or Save ?
Default action should be to Save / Save as
Select the version you want
Observe file being saved.
Default action is save / save as and other server downloads (different os like synology) download fine. It is just the QNAP version, which I need that gives me this strange error. If your screenshots are ‘live’ then it should be something at my end or my region? Tried on my Phone on 4G, pc internet explorer, laptop chrome all the same result. Very strange!
which file are you trying to download. If you wish to PM me your regional info, I can check with the plex.tv team about it.
I checked all the downloadable versions , in chrome and firefox and could not repeat your experience.
If you are unable to get the file using right click and save-as
