This is going to make for some interesting playlists!!
new party mode… everyone pick their songs and Plex fills the gaps
Woohoo, you found the new feature!
Does your library have sonic analysis?
Yes it does…
If it does, and the server is new enough, Sonic Adventure will show up in the stations area of the home screen.
ok it works! I did not realise it was in the stations
I can’t seem to find this new thing. I have the latest software version of everything, and Sonic Analysis has completed and is working fine.
Here’s what I see in Plexamp under the Stations section:
Am I missing something?
Three questions/checks:
- is your server updated to version 1.25.0 (or newer)?
- have you installed Plexamp version 3.8.0 (or newer)?
- has your server enabled and completed the sonic analysis for your music library?
Oh! I have server version 1.24.5.5173 and it says it’s up to date. I’m guessing 1.25.0 is still in Beta?
That’s correct… 1.25.0 is currently only available as beta release.
That explains it! Thanks, this detail wasn’t clear to me. Looking forward to try it once it’s released!
I love this feature! For this evening’s music, I’ve loaded each track from my favorite album, in sequence order. It’s produced around 50 tracks weaving in and out of the album, keeping the tone together.
What other creative ways are you using this? I’m doing two opposing tracks for my next…
Agree this is a really cool addition.
Please let us save these sometime in a future update? “My Sonic Adventures”? Album Mix Builder, Artist Mix Builder. Even if they don’t get saved directly back to the Plex database would love to be able to save them within Plexamp…
I could finally try this with the release of 1.25.0.5282, and I must say that I absolutely love it! This is so much fun!
Thanks for this incredible new feature!
Glad you’re enjoying it!
Sonic analysis keeps surprising me with its associative logic. Awesome stuff, thank you very much.
Let us know if you have any particular approaches to creating the adventures you particularly like.
Wow, this is great.
