My plex updated and when it did it now only shows Director and Writers, but no crew on plex tv, but on my plex app on my PC it shows both. how do I fix this.
In which exact app are you experiencing this (including versions)?

That would be an near-up-to-date version of the Plex for Windows app.
Plex is rolling out a new Cast & Crew hub across all its apps. This has recently been added to all players. If you’re using the web app which is bundled on your server (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re on the same machine as your server or http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web otherwise), you might still use an older release of Plex Web. The latest version of the web app (https://app.plex.tv/desktop) is also already updated. The bundled version will be updated with some future release of Plex Media Server.
TL; DR: What you see in the Plex for Windows app is the new way, Plex will handle that information. Director and writers are still visible but integrated in the Cast & Crew hub.
If you click on the hub title, you’ll also get to a new page that offers 2 tabs for Cast and Crew… director and writers will be listed on the Crew tab
