Since the desktop player autoupdated, I noticed that the “written by” and “directed by” fields (and whatever else that was in that column) are gone (directed by is now up top by the movie name).
Can we get the info to show back the way it was when looking at video information?

On Plex for Desktop, at least directors are back.
I am pretty sure that we have these rolled out on almost all clients at this point. I think there is still one set of tv clients that is coming soon, but should be out pretty much everywhere else!
That’s not enough. It looks like it’s been placed there almost as an afterthought.
Director(s) and writer(s) are a very important part of a movie and need to be in a more prominent place.
One could always be inspired by the IMDB layout.

Dumb question, movies via “Plex Movies” don´t have the directors right there? Is this correct? I just upgraded to the latest Plex HTPC Version 1.51.1 and the changelog says Added Cast and Crew screen for all users but they are not shown. (at least not on the Plex Movies - currently no access to my server)
Scroll the Credits to the end, where it says “Show All”.
On the following screen you can switch to Crew.
That’s really not as nice as it was before with the written by and directed by on the movie page.
I mean for me it doesn’t matter anyway since the server is still broke displaying actors in movies (you can see my pictures I just posted in the other thread I have). I mean it’s better than nothing but it was nice before to be able to just click the directors & writes name without looking at the whole crew to see what else they did. At least on the version of the server im still running, that shows the actors movies that I have on my server correctly, these options are still there on Television shows

Absolutely. I also would prefer them to be there without the need to “scroll”. Why not put them at the beginning of the cast&crew row and separate them with a bar from the cast? @McWanke
I dont understand what was wrong with the way it was before to warrant a change to make things more frustrating and difficult. I’m still running a older version because clicking on actors is still messed up with your servers libraries when you have access to other peoples libraries and it’s been like that since summer and still isn’t fixed. I wish I knew the last version number that had the actors and directors in the old places cause I’d downgrade to that, at least everything worked with it.

That’s on those other people. Their libraries must also conform to the requirements, i.e.
- use the new agents
- disable “Include Adult Content” in their library properties
How is my library not displaying what I have on my server but displaying that other servers i am shared with have the media their problem that my server wont show up? How are their servers causing my server not to show media I have with new versions? See my other thread for picture examples
