When playing random albums from tidal I get this error,
An error occurred trying to play “America (You’re Freaking Me Out)”.
Error code: s3016 (Media)
It seems random as to which album is affected however it’s constant that any album that is affected is always affected. It’s also consistent across players. I’ve tried unlinking/linking Tidal, but that doesn’t make a difference as 95% of content still plays fine. The albums in question play fine in the Tidal app.
Similar issue, I just linked TIDAL to Plex yesterday and have found that random albums just won’t play, but they work in the TIDAL app. Notably, I’m seeing a different error message [Error code: s1001 (Network)], see below:
I’ve seen other people post this errors on the forums, but it seems like the issues eventually resolve themselves. Is there anything that can be done to proactively fix?
I’ve seen issues that have resolved over time, however, for me, this one has been going on over a week now and nothing appears to have changed. The exact same albums still fail.
FWIW, I’m still having trouble with the same specific Tidal albums being unable to play via Plex (same “s1001 (Network)” error code):

Is there anything that can be done on the user side to fix this (e.g. unlink/relink Tidal)? Is this something that is only happening with my client or server, or is this a global issue?
Yeah I’m still having the same issue, different code but still random albums. Latest is Jane’s Addiction - Southern comfort. I only actually get an error on the web player, other players just skip the track.
Weird, I don’t actually see that Jane’s Addiction album on Tidal when I search for it (both in Plex and in Tidal). Is that the right name?
Yes, I wonder if it’s a geolocation issue, I’m in the UK. I can’t see Cende either.
Aha! I’m in the US. I think you might be onto something, it definitely seems plausible that regional catalog differences could be tripping up Tidal on Plex…
